Carlow County Museum first opened to the public on Sunday December 2nd 1973. This was the realisation of one of the ambitions of the Carlow Historical and Archaeological Society (CHAS) since it was founded in 1946.
To celebrate over fifty years of the Museum the next CHAS lecture on Wednesday October 16th in the Seven Oaks Hotel at 8pm will be delivered by Museum Curator, Dermot Mulligan, focusing on the development of the Museum over those years.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
